Due to the association that BCIA has with CIBSE, members can enjoy an exclusive discounted rate for their new CoDEC scheme.

CIBSE and SDE have launched a new competency scheme that will assess the online and website delivery of manufacturers’ product data. The CoDEC scheme is aimed at building services manufacturers and suppliers.

A Certificate of Digital Engineering Competency (CoDEC) will be awarded to manufacturers who have demonstrated that they meet the requirements for effective delivery of product data.

BCIA members can take advantage of this special offer from CIBSE to book onto the scheme. *Simply quote ‘BCIA Member’when you get in contact and you will receive £70 off the standard price.

Product data is an integral part of digital and BIM processes and accurate data often progresses through the design and construction phases and into operation and maintenance.

However, many websites and online data sources do not meet operational and digital requirements and are subsequently avoided by engineers and specifiers. This can lead to problems such as excessive data overloading systems and difficulties transporting data.

*BCIA Member price: £225 + VAT.
