CIBSE IT & Controls & CIBSE FM Joint Event: ‘The Essential Role of Apprenticeships to Launch Professional Careers & Close the Skills Gap’

Skills shortages remain a major issue in the delivery of the high performing, low carbon buildings and full time study is not an option for many future professionals. Apprenticeships therefore provide an essential solution that remains underused – this is the opportunity!

This event will explore the many benefits that Apprenticeships provide, from the perspective of both employer and apprentice. Reflection will be given from 2 senior engineers who recruit apprentices, and were once Apprentices themselves, along side CIBSE’s 2021 Apprentices of the Year. These will be followed by discussion on the available Apprenticeship routes, how to further encourage engagement with Apprenticeships to deliver the skills our industry needs.
