CIBSE Vice President speaks at BCIA National Conference 2013
John Field (LEFT), Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) spoke at this year’s BCIA National Conference. He joined Paul Reeve, Head of Business Policy and Practice at the ECA.
John is an expert in the area of building performance, and his presentation at the Conference examined the importance of ensuring that savings from building integrated renewables are correctly metered and measured. He covered areas including current training opportunities and relevant legislation that’s coming up in the next few years. John is also energy services director for TEAM (Energy Auditing Agency) where he helps to provide advice on energy and cost savings for commercial and public sector clients.
Paul Reeve (RIGHT) of the ECA shared his insights into the Green Deal. This complex incentive scheme has left many in the construction industry wondering where they fit in, and what advice they should offer clients. Paul clarified the key issues, and highlighted how the scheme will incorporate contractors – and how they can make the most of it.
Along with speakers on the RHI, and how the property industry is increasingly emphasising energy efficient buildings, the BCIA National Conference was the place to be to learn about the hot topics for our sector.
