Member News: New Building Controls Integrator ECS card

The BCIA is delighted to announce the launch of the new Building Controls Integrator ECS card which is designed to meet the need for the growing body of controls engineers to gain appropriate recognition for the skills they have acquired. The card is now available for applications via the ECS website

Eligibility & Requirements

To be eligible for an ECS Building Controls Integrator Card, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Hold a BCIA Technical Certificate which is awarded on completion of the following three modules of the BCIA Training Scheme:

  • Fundamentals of HVAC & Building Technology (BCM01)
  • Measuring & Control Technology (BCM02)
  • Hydraulics in Building Services (BCM03)

A formal BS7671 qualification in the current edition of the wiring regulations (currently BS7671: 2008, 17th edition).
