Sam Saunders

Sam Saunders has worked in the Electrical industry since 1974 completing an electrical apprenticeship with Sainsbury’s before progressing to working as an electrical commissioning engineer on all new store’s HVAC and Refrigeration systems and associated control panels.

Sam commenced working in the controls industry in 1982 working with Staefa Controls initially as a commissioning engineer and was involved with the installation and commissioning of Staefa’s first BMS systems before leaving in 1992 to become one of the founder members of ACME Controls where training and employing apprentices was a major part of the business.

Following the merger of ACME with Green Sky/E.ON in 2011, Sam progressed to being heavily involved in all aspects of training. He is passionate about providing opportunities, bringing new people into the controls industry and being able to provide all of the required training, skills and knowledge to allow others to progress to their full potential. He believes that the controls industry is an industry where technology is ever changing and there is always something new to learn.
