Steve Harrison
Steve Harrison, is a Royal Airforce time served mechanical and electrical engineering apprentice. He started in the building controls industry in 1989. Since then he has worked for TREND, in both sales and marketing roles and was instrumental in the setting up of the Systems Integrator route to market in the UK.
Moving to Product Management during his fourteen years with JOHNSON Controls, Steve developed a range of configured Factory Fitted Airside Controls across the EMEA Region. Steve’s last position before setting up Blackbuck Ltd was with BELIMO AG, this again was in Product Management but was looking into the future of Building Energy Management Systems. This included communications technology with open and proprietary protocols, both near field and across the Internet of Things.
Steve set up Blackbuck Ltd in 2016 with an aim is to specifically support the controls sector to develop further. This includes a consultancy management service, writing and delivering BEMS training, both face to face and online, plus a series of tools to better the presentation of process’s in Systems Companies including Estimating and Execution of large projects.
Steve has been involved with the BCIA since the beginning of his career, was an active member of the management committee for over fifteen years and is proud to be a past President of the BCIA.
