Terry Sharp

Terry has over 40 years of experience in the controls and BEMS industry where he has held technical, engineering, sales and marketing and management roles in both the home and international markets. He is an Associate at NDA Consulting Limited; the UK’s leading specialist controls and BEMS engineering consultancy practice where he helps clients identify and apply their control and smart building technology needs.  Previously, Terry has worked with both control manufacturers and systems integrators to gain a rounded perspective of the supply side of our industry. Terry has served the BCIA since its inception his ambition remains to overcome Value Engineering – the commercial practice of removing control features for contract cost savings.  This short-term cost advantage benefits the contractor and most often leaves the building user with higher energy and maintenance costs as a result.  Terry firmly believes that better specification and contract control is the solution.
