The BCIA Management Committee needs you!
Two positions in the Building Controls Industry Association’s (BCIA) high-profile and key decision-making Management Committee have now become available and the building automation sector’s leading organisation wants to hear from potential candidates keen to help steer its strategic direction.
These voluntary roles, starting 1st January 2025, are open to full and enterprise members of the Association and are elected by BCIA members to listen to, and represent the views of, its members.
In addition to a three-year term of office, with the opportunity to succeed to a leadership position of Vice President and then President, joining the committee offers members the opportunity to raise their profiles, benefit from additional learning and development, and make key decisions to deliver greater impact in the building automation sector.
The BCIA is committed to achieving a balanced and inclusive Management Committee that is representative of its membership, promotes diversity, and has a blend of knowledge and experience to drive the association forward. In addition, for the 2025-28 term, applications from those that can bring financial management and corporate governance expertise are particularly encouraged.
So, if driving the industry forward matters to you the BCIA is keen to hear from you.
Please note that Management Committee membership is restricted to one representative per corporate member company. Employees of corporate member companies are entitled to volunteer to take a place on the Committee and the two members stepping down, Matt Brown and Simon Patman, shall be eligible for re-election.
Anyone interested in becoming a member of the BCIA Management Committee and wishing to self-nominate can do so by downloading the Application Form and then returning it to Catherine Walker, BCIA Executive Officer, at catherinew@bcia.co.uk. The closing date for self-nominations is 23.59pm on 15th October 2024.
The BCIA looks forward to hearing from you.
