BCIA calls for assistance from membership to support with policy responses and increasing the value placed on Building Controls as a decarbonisation solution
In order to assist Gemserv, the company recently appointed to provide support to the BCIA with policy responses and sector positioning information, the Association will be forming a policy sub-group.
It is hoped the group will consist of around 10 policy experts from across the membership base that can represent the wider views of members and help to engage members in the vital role advocacy plays in placing building controls in policy discussions. The BCIA would like to hear from you if you have a good understanding of policy and legislation. There will also be opportunity to get involved in policy workshops that will bring together a mix of policy and technical specialists from across the membership.
Bringing Building Controls to life
Case studies are a great way to engage policymakers, intermediaries and end users, supporting greater understanding as to the opportunities building controls solutions present in creating healthy and efficient buildings. Gemserv will be developing some case studies and the BCIA is also keen to share case studies that members already have.
How the BCIA collectively promotes building controls presents a great opportunity to use imagery to showcase the great products, services and people that transform some of the most iconic buildings in the UK and overseas. The BCIA will be building a bank of imagery to bring the case studies, policy paper and its new website (in development) to life.
The BCIA is asking for the support of members to achieve this and would like to hear from any members that can permit the BCIA to use their corporate photography throughout the website and in other on/offline BCIA channels as appropriate (such as inclusion with press releases, the policy paper, in publications and across social media).
