New working groups and increasing our presence

BCIA’s Young Engineers Network Chair, Greg Smith, provides a brief update on the latest developments with the Network.

I am pleased to report that the YEN continues to grow in order to serve young engineers all over the UK. We have recently created some new working groups; South Social & Events, North/Mids Social & Events, and Marketing & Comms. Each group is led by a group of four members from within the YEN and will be assisting to push the YEN in the directions we aim to go.

We have some smart new media badges for our email signatures which we are encouraging all YEN members to proudly display if they can. If any YEN member does not yet have a badge for their email signature but would like one please get in touch.

The Marketing and Comms working group are working on ways to increase the YEN presence. Careers fairs, stalls and events are all being discussed at the moment, so watch this space.

We have just launched a WhatsApp group for the working group leads as a trial. If all goes well, we might look to create one for all YEN members to discuss ideas, events and share information etc.

As always – we are always looking for ways to push membership. If you meet the YEN criteria or have employees who do, please sign up.
